In 1986, International Hug Day was established. The meaning of the holiday, now celebrated worldwide every year on January 21, is to give a piece of warmth and kindness to those around us through the gesture of a hug.
But what if there are many people who desperately need support and warmth? Find like‑minded people!
Such people for our company became volunteers and Sisters of Mercy (Belgorod)! Throughout all the winter holidays, with the support of OOO “ALTEK”, they handed out gifts and souvenirs to the children of the Prokhorovskoye Children’s Home, the Razumenskoye Children’s Home, the “Spread Your Wings” Center for graduates of orphanages, the “Mercy and Care” shelter, and the Razumenskoye social‑rehabilitation center for minors.
New Year’s gifts and sweet souvenirs were also received by the little residents of the NUSO Children’s Social‑Rehabilitation Center at the Holy Trinity Church (Kolomna), with which we have been cooperating for many years. The low‑income and homeless residents of Belgorod Oblast were not left out either. For them, our company together with the Sisters of Mercy helped organize a Christmas feast.
Let’s hug our beloved and dear ones tightly tomorrow, and remember that every good deed is a hug that warms both the one who embraces and the one who is embraced!
And may it not be only tomorrow, but every day that such hugs become more abundant in each of our lives!
